Why Short Training Sessions Create Better Results

Too long training sessions tend to create more problems than solutions. In reality, dogs perform best when they are engaged and motivated, not when they are exhausted.

A dog can make genuine progress in five to ten minutes of quality, positive training. Cutting a training session short when the dog is on a roll helps to encourage further confidence and motivation. Trying to go beyond this can lead to confusion and errors.

Consistency is more important than time spent. Having multiple short sessions throughout the day is much more effective than training for an extended period of time. It must be fun to train, not be a burden.
